Awards of Excellence 2023 - Tickets now on sale
The Congress of Black Women of Canada – Waterloo Region (CBW) and the Caribbean Canadian Association of Waterloo Region (CCAWR) are jointly hosting the 2023 Annual Awards of Excellence!
We will recognize and celebrate the achievements of many of our community’s bright talented African, Caribbean and Black students who received scholarship awards from 2023.
This years keynote speaker will be Dr. Christopher Taylor, PhD.
Dr. Christopher Stuart Taylor is an associate vice-president, author, public servant, and assistant professor. He focuses on issues of diversity, inclusion, multiculturalism, immigration, race and ethnicity, anti-racism, Black Canadian history, Caribbean history, slavery in the Americas, the African and Black Diaspora, and Black identity.
