Science Technology Engineering Mathematics for Black Students on March 7th

The CCAWR, BrainSTEM Alliance and the Canadian Multicultural Inventors Museum will be hosting a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (S.T.E.M.) Day for Black students in the Region of Waterloo on Sunday, March, 7th, 2021.

Celebrate. Educate. Advocate.

Primary, Middle and Secondary School students will be taught about Black inventors and innovators and will take part in S.T.E.M. activities designed to stimulate interest in these subject areas. During the Black History Month 2021 Waterloo Region Launch event BrainSTEM and the CMIM announced this one-day-only event– now is the time to register!

This virtual event is sponsored by the Government of Canada. It is targeted to Black primary, middle and secondary school students in the Region of Waterloo. For further information, please email info@brainstemalliance.com.

There will be a separate learning session for each group of students:

  • 10:00 am to 12:00 noon: Elementary students (5 to 9 years old)
  • 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm: Middle school students (9 to 13 years old)
  • 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm: High school students (13 to 18 years old)
